Hoh Rainforest II - Original

This acrylic on canvas piece was inspired by time Sam spent in the Hoh Rainforest on the Olympic peninsula of Washington.  In that forest were deep and vibrant greens and bright aqua ponds. The colors played with each other, sometimes hard to tell when one started and the other began. This vibrant landscape is captured in this green and blue original painting. Made with Sam’s signature style of using water and acrylic paint to create thin layers of translucent colors, the viewer is transported into an abstract world where the colors of the rainforest are clouds in your home.
